Simulation analysis of cycle skipping strategy in SI engine fueled with ethanol gasoline mixture

Researches are carried out with different methods to reduce the emissions emitted by conventional fuel engines. In addition using alternative fuels, especially ethanol, in gasoline engines, injection, and combustion controls applied various strategies. this study, effects of cycle skipping strategies on were analyzed through a numerical model single-cylinder naturally aspirated spark ignition (SI) engine. The validated was fueled an ethanol blend 30% content. engine operated at partial load 1500 rpm constant speed under Normal (N), 1N1S, 2N1S 3N1S skip NOx emission increased all due in-cylinder temperature more depletion cycles. BSFC decreased 9.93%, 13.67% 5.93% strategies, respectively. CO HC compared normal cycle.
